Title: Need Help with Copy and Paste While Doing Layout

Although it seems like such a simple task, I cannot seem to repeat this function. Ive gotten it to work a few times apparently by accident, but not repetitively. Im running xLights Version 2016.53 on a Mac. I have tried both Command C/Command V, and also using the drop down menu.

I assume I click on the model I want to copy (mini tree), then press Command C or copy from the menu. Then what? Ive tried just pasting the model, I've tried click off the model (so its no longer yellow) and nothing seems to work.
