Title: Converting LOR singing faces to Papagayo
Post by: RobertB on October 08, 2014, 08:07:40 PM
Please forgive me if this is not the place to post this.
Is there a way to convert a LOR singing face to a Papagayo and then use it in the xLights Matrix?  Of course my goal is to use it on my pixel mega tree.
Thanks
Robert

"A LOR singing face"?

To mu knowledge people in LOR use ItsmeBob's software to change a Papagayo file into a LOR clipboard so they can paste them into their LOR sequence.

Papgayo creates a *.pgo file
Open Papgayo ane export each voice out as a *.dat file
Use ItsMeBob's software to change *.dat into *.lcb files

We have a similar process in xLights
launch xlights and go to Papagayo tab
give it a *.pgo file, it will produce an xlights *.xml sequence file. It will have all voices from the *.pgo in the sequence file.
go into NUTCRACKER tab of xlights and open the *.xml file.

To your original question, if you have a sequecne that lights up corofaces in LOR, just import it into xlights. Make sure channel numbers match your model.

Ok.
I have the LOR file. I don't have the Papagayo file. So it sounds like I can just export right into xLights without going into the Papagayo tab?  Also, I don't see any singing faces in the model. I would assume you have to go into the Custom feature of the models. How do I go about creating say a pumpkin face or others onto the tree (which is ultimately what it will be on....24 lines and 40 pixels high).
Thanks!
