I just noticed this tonight, something is wrong with the spirals effect on my megatree. I saw some problems on other effects but not all. Things with purely vertical motion seem to be fine.
This video shows is the best.

My megatree is 360 degree, 48 strings of 70. Every 2 strings is connected to a port on an F16V2, power is injected at the end of each pair of strings.
The problem appears to be confined to strings 11, 12, 17 & 18. Ports 6 & 9 on the F16V2.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this and how I fix it?

My thought is that the port 6 and 9 are reversed.
This would not affect a vertical effect.
and if you look at the out of position pixels in the video they would look correct if those strings were reversed.
Would be simple to test by swapping the two connectors on the controller.

I think you are exactly right, that never crossed my mind. I probably read the labels on the cables wrong when I plugged everything in. I'll go out and switch them when it warms up and see. Thanks!

Or even easier, I just swapped the string port definitions for ports 6 & 9. That way I don't have to shutdown or change anything physically in the cold.

That was indeed the problem, all effects look perfect now.
