Title: How do I run USB LOR from xlights
Post by: Tonyst on October 12, 2014, 10:53:11 PM
I have been using LOR for the last few years. This year I have introduced RGB as well, in the form of an E682 controller. I have imported my LOR sequences into XLights/Nutcracker to get the pixel display and, based on various recommendations, am using XLights to run the show. My problem is trying to drive the LOR controller. My LOR output is via USB to the adapter and ethernet cable. Unfortunately, the Xlights set up only allows me to access the comm ports for LOR output. How do I get it to output to USB or do I have to buy LOR's serial adapter to enable me to run both controllers at the same time?

USB adapters are a comm port.
The E682 should be on E1.31 (the ethernet cable).
In xlights just have both a USB dongle on some comm port and e1.31 with 16 universes of 510 channels.

Thanks Sean. Works without any problems.

To add, your LOR boxes are hard coded to dmx channels. So when you set them up they have to be set to those channels or they won't work right. CCD's are too. DMX-DOC.pdf explains.
