Does anyone know if I can have different versions of xLights point to different show directories.
I have all of my 2016 show in version 2016.13 and I need to keep that version functional since it has my Valentine and St. Pat's day shows already setup and scheduled.
I've started working on Halloween for next year and changed to the newest version. I can run both versions with no problem. But whatever data path I set in one version transfers to the other version. it seems that I should be able to point each version to a different show data path. However it doesn't seem to work that way.
Anybody ever try this before ???

No you can't do that. There is only one registry location that contains xLights recent show directory info.

OK, thanks Gil !!!
I figured that would be the answer but thought I would ask.

I thought you could pass the show directory in on the command line.

Maybe I don't know anything about command line options. But we still save a lot of things like window positions and a bunch of other things that are going to be exclusive.
I really think he should just backup his sequences and use the newest version. No good reason to be running 2016.13 with the 200 bugs that have been fixed since then.
