I was just wondering if there would be a way to make the timing tracks collapsible to maximize the working area on the grid. I'm working on a sequence with eight timing tracks with three of them being vocal taking up 14 lines. Maybe make the timing tracks collapse like the group's do?

+1 on this idea.

You can. Just create another view and leave out the timing tracks you don't want.

Doh! Along the same line, would it be possible to have the option to collapse the audio spectrum to give more screen room?

You could do that but then you lose the timing grid. I'm talking about having something that you can double-click and open all of your timing tracks and select the ones you want to use then collapse it back down out of the way leaving your timing grid open. just thinking of something that allows for the functionality while increasing the work area that would be Universal to all the sequences you open.

Looks like we posted just about the same time

Not sure if you'd want to do that, I'm using that area constantly while sequencing.

Get a 4k monitor lol

I wasn't suggesting removing it completely, just be able to click it shut if needed.

Using dual 23" monitors now, just looking for a bit more space on the grid.

Just create multiple views that contain the timing tracks and ONLY the elements that you are currently working on. You can have a view for megatrees only, one for mini trees only, one for arches pnly, one for arches and mini trees only , etc, plus one for everything. It is your choice.

I usually only have one timing track selected at a time and work within an area in the timing and play the different elements against each other to get the look that I want. I start off with intentions on just doing one element from beginning to end but then I get ideas and start wandering. This was just a what if idea when I was working a sequence with eight different tracks thinking it would be nice to collapse them all in every sequence the same way with a simple double click and without having to makeup multiple views. I have dual 24 inch high-def monitors and there still times where I would like more vertical room. I'm still a little new to xlights and looking at it with a somewhat fresh pair of eyes and thought this might be handy. (Never hurts to ask) I try to keep it simple with one View that's the same with all of my sequences so I can count on where everything is at to increase my productivity ( maybe that's the wrong way to do it)
