Title: xLights running on several computers!
Post by: larryk5 on April 26, 2017, 04:33:08 PM
Hello,
I've setup xLights on 4 computers and I'm using Dropbox to share the files. It works great as far as getting what on one computer to the others. I'm using a 27" iMac, a dual monitor computer, a single monitor computer and a notebook. The issue I have is when in the layout section my backdrop picture of my house doesn't fit properly  across all the computers. Is there a way to set it up so I can have the proper aspect ratio and still fit it on the screen? I use the 27" screen for most things, second would be the notebook and it only has a 14" screen!
Thanks!

The easiest way is to simply set the screen resolution of all the monitors the same. Personally I always use 1920x1080 whether I my 60" screen or my 17" laptop. But any common resolution will be fine.

I did try what you said, but the laptops max resolution is 1366 x 768 and that doesn't look very good on a monitor that is 2560 x 1440. If I could get the notebooks resolution up that may be a solution but not as it stands now!

The way things are coded there is nothing you can do but change the background numbers every time you are on a new resolution.  Not sure why it wasn't coded to just fill the available space.
