Title: When will Webinar streaming be be available to purchase
Post by: babybear on May 22, 2017, 08:06:22 PM
((Webinar streaming will be recorded and will be available to purchase after the fact. 8 hours/day time 2 rooms means 32 hours of video. The files will be posted and a link given so you can download the videos. Cost will be the same $40. Purchasing the videos after the May 20th weekend will also include one free $45 or less sequence.))
  When will this be available.

It will be 1-2 weeks. My guess is closer to two weeks. There were some sessions where the record didn't happen so the presenters will re-record those at home and send those to Sean for aggregation.

2 weeks?  Darn I don't have internet at home due to technical issues  so was hoping they would be here sooner. Looks like I'll miss out on getting them then :(

that is so great!!  thanks to the presenters and sean for taking that extra effort on top of everything else.

I joined for just a short time, and really enjoyed the topics, but needed to break away for the rest of the weekend's broadcast.

thanks, thanks, thanks!!!

Surely you can find a friend with internet and you can download the files to a USB flash drive or portable hard drive.  These will be files, not streaming videos so that they go only to folks who paid and have the access info.

Alas no, but I might be able to find a cafe with internet and try to get a few a day, but we have very poor speed ADSL here so many businesses dont have free WiFi, and even places like McDonald's have stupid 5 or 10 meg limits here per session, and that wont get me even a single video. My mobile phone data wont even go close to getting the video's so while it's ok for email and Facebook or some forum use like this, not a hope to get the videos.

I paid for the stream on the 12th of May, but due to no email being sent out (There was a lot of people who never received them), I never got the channel numbers or password until late on the Saturday. I got nothing until the last session on Sunday before someone in one of the chats flicked me the new room numbers.

I understand there were issues, and Sean lost his HDD, but it would be nice to have got the email before the webinar, and while we had an email on Wednesday, I cant see Sean emailing out the links to the sequences in the next 24 hours, as I know of maybe 20 people who as of earlier today, said they have not got them. I took holidays to go away, and knowing the webinar was on I bought internet access at the resort we were staying at to watch or get the files. I then took off 2 weeks to be able to sit and watch each video and do a proper job of learning xLights, so now I'll just sequence instead, and watch the video's when I get a chance after they are released and I manage to get a copy.

Not to mention that I read the videos from the seminar total around 60 gb. If that's true that is a huge amount of data to download. I certainly wouldn't lend my internet out for someone to download that much.

Wow, talk about poor timing.  I feel bad for you.  I don't have any limits on my Internet and our download speed is at around 100mbps.  If you don't find a way to get the vids, I would be glad to make a copy for you for the cost of the flash drive and postage.  Just let me know.
