I have a mega tree that is 15 universes at 50 nodes per strand and I would like to place some pics on the tree for different effects during a selected sequence, what should I size the pic for this display. Any help with this would be great, first year doing smart pixels by the way so I am what you guys call a NOOB.
Thank you in advance

If you have 15 strings of 50 nodes then you have a 15 x 50 pixel matrix and that is the size of images that will look the best.
-
Now over in free images I have put some Pixs at 16 x 50 give them a try if I recall there are 6 of them in two replies.

If you have 15 universes, how many strands per universe? Mr of strands by number of pixels per strand for tree resolution.
-
You can also "cheat" a little by make your pictures wider and having them scroll across your tree (as opposed to a static image that must fit within the tree dimensions)

Is that a trick question ? In Xlights and falcon universes really mean nothing. My tree has 24 strands with 150 nodes per. Strand 1 uses 450 channels out of the first universe the second string uses the last 62 channels in universes 1 then starts into universe 2 and so on.... It's not 1 universe per string but that's xlights and falcon. Can't speak for LOR stuff.

Let's do the math
24 strands 150 nodes per strand 3 channels per node 512 channels universe. So that makes just over 21 universes used on my tree.
