couple of things here.
1. how come I can't download these again. 2 of the 3 links expired the same day I placed the order the other one is out until may of 2020.
2. "Lights of Christmas" has .png files that are in the pictures effects and were not included. Would be nice to have those.
Thanks for you help

download links should not expire. Please send an email to lilia@meighan.net so we have an email to respond to.
thanks

I had to manually edit the links for the pictures by clicking on each one and pasting the new file folder path on each picture, changing it to the locations I stored the .sup files.
I saw somewhere someone had an easier way, but could not find it when I needed it.
Worked after I did that.

Hey Sean,
I have sent you and Lilia multi messages and emails and no response, I know you will see this.

I normally end up search / replace the file paths directly in the XML file with notepad++. yes its not exactly what I would want but it works. maybe one day there will be a quicker and easier way to do this, or maybe I missed something and it is easy already.

If you keep you images etc in your show folder or a sub directory of it xlights will fix up paths for you.
-
So if I purchase a sequence from Lilia or Ron does that mean I have to put that sequence into my show directory? I store them in the purchased sequences folder (which is a set of sub folders below my home folder) and import effects from them. the paths are not fixed using this method.
-
If you watch my video on importing purchased sequences I explain what you need to do so xlights will fix them automagically.

Hi Keith,
Its nice to hear you (si) in the video. We do that a lot out here. The issue I am having with the sequence I purchased from Lilia "light of Christmas" is there are no .png files in what she sent. when I go thru the process and I cheek the sequence it tells me " ERR: Picture effect cant find image file 'C:\Users\Lilia Meighan\Documents\xlights_data\xmas2015\Light_Of_Christmas\LOC_s322.png'. Model 'TREE2', Start 2:21.400" 96 of them. And I can't re down load just too make sure I did not screw it up. Sean comment about I should be able to down load again has not been solved. I am having no luck in contacting either Sean or Lilia, I hope they are both ok, I have been dealing with my own health issues so my brain is a little foggy.
Thanks for all of your videos.

Yes you are right , there are no image files included with this sequence. However the mega tree is not included and it says in the readme for this that the Megatree sequence is available from holiday sequences
Additional file: This sequence was created around the animation superstar sequence Holidaysequences sells. There are two versions
12 CCR tree, $35: http://www.holidaysequences.com/12-Ribbon-CCR-Light-of-Christmas-p/12ccr-loc.htm
16 CCR tree, $47: http://www.holidaysequences.com/16-Ribbon-Owl-City-Light-of-Christmas-p/16ccr-loc.htm
These superstar sequences need to be purchases seperately and imported in using the "Import, Import Effects" feature of xLights.

Keith, thanks so much for the video on importing sequences, it make so much more sense now.
-
Neil,
Its not the mega tree its tree 2 I am missing the .png
with all due respect.

there appears that there are no images included with this sequence. so back to Sean and Lilia as to why. maybe they are out of town this weekend and not monitoring there emails.
-
I am pretty sure you need to buy the holiday sequences superstar files to get the images for the trees.
-
I have purchased the sup and lms a week ago. I think it is going to take Sean or Lilia to answer this.
-
I am pretty sure it doesn't need Sean or lilia. The way to solve this is first of all to know what folder the images are meant to be in relative to your show folder. Create that folder. Now create a new sequence and import the sup file being sure to put the images in the folder you just created. Make sure you get the base name the same as Lilias as well. Now open lilies sequence and hopefully the images will link up
-
When importing the SUP file it will ask you to create a folder to put the images in. import effects, select the sup file, select which model you want the effects to load on, then select a folder for the images to go into.
-
Ok, finally got to reloading the sequence and indeed your are right , where are the images for megatree2, Sean?
-
Are they not the same images from the sup file ... possibly imported a second time with a different name.
-
yes it does look like they are the same images from the sup file with a slightly different name. so the answer is to find the images and copy them to a different folder or just link to them instead. it is going to take some work though finding the right image in the megatree2 and renaming them. this could probably easy to do using notepad++ rather than clinking on every image an browsing for it. As the images are copywrite from the holidayseqeunces then they would not be able to to be added to the package that Lilia distributes. maybe Lilia can verify that you do have a license for the holidaysequence and send you the images folder that she had extracted for megatree2.
-
Why not just import the sup again with the right name.
-
Yes that would be an option, except that for some reason Lilia did not entirely mirror the 2 megatree's only a subset of the png's. so they actually have different effects going on.
