In my display I have a star w/ 2 layers 30,20. Also have a circle w/ 3layers 18,18,18. when using the fan or the pinwheel with the star I get the arms to spin around the points of the star. When I use the circle model and the fan effect I cannot get the arms to go around the circles, it seems the center is on top of the circles, moving the center only moves the "center" around the model . Do you understand what I mean? I would like effect on the circle to be similar to star. I just built the star and still working it into my display, some effects just do not look good on the circle. The circle is wired like your diagram start at the bottom outside going cw. The lights look the same on the prop as they do on the screen, so its not a wiring or light placement issue. Hope you can help. Thanks Charlie J.

On your circle mode, when placing the fan or pinwheel effect, go to the "Layer Settings" window, select the "Buffer" Tab, and change the Render Style to "Per Preview". That should give you what I think it is you are asking to do.

Thanks, that solved my question, I do not normally use the layer settings with my displays. Charlie J.

Yes different models have different buffer layouts. I don't remember them all but I believe the Circle model is represented as straight lines stacked on top of each other per layer by default. The render style provides options for reorganizing how the buffers are represented.
