Title: AC light cascade - how do you use it?

I started trying out the AC light features and I had some difficulties with it.  I managed though to get on/off and ramp up/down working - though I seem to have troubles getting it to effect.  The one feature I wanted to try was the cascade effect on some arches.  I would select the 8 arches and get the white box.  Then I'd click on the cascade button but it wouldn't light it up.

Anyone know what I'm missing by chance?

You put effects on the top row that you want to Cascade first.
Then you can select the Cascade and pull it through the effects you already set, then pull it down through all the rest of the empty spaces that you want to fill.
