Title: Node type not changing / updating
Post by: cmanucy on October 07, 2017, 06:44:25 PM
I have some 10W RGB floods that I need to have as GRB vs RGB.  I've changed them in Xlights, but only one of them actually updates the channel order.  I'm on a Mac running 2017.30.

I'm attaching a screenshot showing it a little better than I can describe it.

I was able to 'fix' the issue by creating virtual strings on my Falcon, but I'd rather not do it that way.  The weird thing is that flood #4 updates correctly and shows as GRB.  No matter what order I select in Xlights it doesn't change when I go into the testing section.

You can ignore this ... it will not in any way impact your sequencing ... the only problem you may see is one of the test modes that tries to turn lights red, green blue may get it wrong.

No, it doesn't work correctly.

When you put a red color on the device, it shows as green.  That most certainly does affect the sequence.

What is shown in Xlights is really what it's doing.  It is not updating the channels in reference to the LED - but only on SOME devices.  I can't figure out why it will change on some nodes and not others.

Copying a 'good' model and pasting it in shows the new one in the correct order (BRG).  This is a bug that does affect sequencing.

Have you run check sequence?

AHHH!  There we go.  Thank you.

There was another string I wasn't using that was also set to RGB and stepping on the same channels.  I guess that was keeping it from changing the other channels to any other order.

That was it.  I hadn't even thought about checking for that.  Thanks!

That would be it.
