here are the handmarked audacity timing marks for hit the light by metallica if anyone is interested. it is an edited version cut off at 2 minutes so I included the project file as well as the xml.
for those interested, there are 837 timing marks for this song due to the fact that I use audacity and xlights to create a beat track in vixen 2.1. keep that in mind.

There are 837 lines of sequencing.
No effect changes on the first 87 lines. What are you trying to achieve with this method of sequencing, and are you achieving it?
No fades between timing marks, so what is the point of the 13-15 timing marks per second?

I use the timing marks for a beat track in vixen and yes it works very well. it's easier to get all of the beats in audacity first, create the colorwash effect for each timing mark in xlights, and then export to vixen.

fly inverted, I must say, I completely understand what you were wondering when you saw 837 timing marks! lol what the hell was I thinking! it was such a pain in the ass trying to catch the box as the cursor flew threw the song, I redid the marks for xlights. I will still do all the beats for vixen but from now on I will do something different for my xlights/nutcracker effects. here is the audacity file and the new timing marks for hit the lights if you or any one else is interested. there are only 59 lines now, and most a good number of those are just where they say "hit the lights"
