OK, here's the scenario....
This year, I added 4 of the LOR 50W RGB floodlights to my show, to replace the homemade 10W versions I had before. The 10W floods only used 3 channels, so I was using channels 1-12 for all 4 of he floods. The LOR floods use 5 channels. So I used 1-10 for the first 2 floods, and then put the last two floods up around 150-159 (the next channels I had open). These floods all worked great using the LOR hardware utility. And the first 2 floods (on the lower channels) worked fine on xLights. But I couldn't get the last 2 floods to work no matter what I tried.
Eventually, I decided to go ahead and move their channels down in line with the other floods, using 11-20. And then changing the channels on everything else I had on that universe to make room. (A little bit of work, but not too big of a deal.) And after doing JUST that, the floods now work just fine.
I was just wondering if anyone else had similar issues using LOR hardware on a non-LOR network. Is there some addressing quirk I am not aware of??

I'm running some LOR devices just fine but I'm not sure what you mean by a non-LOR network. To me that means a DMX network like I use. If its hooked to a LOR USB dongle that's what I would call a LOR network whether its run from xLights or LOR.

Yeah Gil, I guess I wasn't very clear on that.
Basically, if I use all of these devices in a complete Lor environment then they seem to work fine. By that I mean using the Lor S3 software, Lor wiring, Etc
But when I try to use the Lor devices in a DMX environment, I have problems getting some of them to talk. And I have generally found that it seems to be happening if I am using higher number DMX channels. If I keep into lower channel numbers like double digits, things seem to work fine.
Since many of these devices have to be addressed via firmware, I have to use the Lor Hardware utility in order to accept the addresses. So I was wondering if anybody had run into any quirks doing that and having addresses match in the DMX world.

I think I have an easy time because I use LOR Pro controllers and you just open the lid and hit buttons to set the DMX address. Otherwise I believe its just a matter of setting the correct Unit ID and knowing how that maps into the LOR DMX address scheme. Basically you multiply the (UnitID - 1) * 16 + 1. So to run a device on DMX channel 150 you would need to have it connected to a LOR Unit with ID set to 0x0A and then connect it to output number 6 on that device because Unit ID 0x0A starts at DMX channel 145.
