Title: Pixels Not Turning Off
Post by: worksopian on November 29, 2017, 01:59:29 PM
I am running an F16V2, an F16V3 and an F4V3 and am having an issue with pixels lighting up even though I have everything off. I have the blanking timer set to 5 seconds on each board but it doesn't appear to make any difference. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you fix it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Steve

I had a problem with some random lights coming on and staying on that ended up being a flaky ethernet cable connection.

Thanks for the rely, I am going to pick up a new ethernet cable tonight and also reroute it away from all the other cables.

I changed the ethernet cable and moved it further away from power cables last night, as suggested but still have 4 or 5 pixels lit up on my garage. I think one of them may be bad so will change it out tonight time permitting.

I wasn't really suggesting anything just sharing a similar experience that could possibly help you out.
Have you tried switching outputs from the controller to see if the problem follows the controller output or the lights?
Are the pixels that are staying on all in a row?

I have some 12v pixels that would lock on mostly white during my show. Simple fix was power injection. Basically when on white they drew so much power the 28xx chips could not longer receive the signal so they locked on. Now I have power injection they work perfectly.
