Title: purchased 16 Strand Sequence for a 32 strand tree
Post by: datach2369 on December 09, 2017, 06:58:34 AM
Good morning!   I have a 16 strand sequence that i have purchased and uploaded into xlights and have some questions since i have a 32 strand 360 megatree.

The sequence plays on the backside of the tree.  I believe its that is due to it being a 16 strand sequence. How do i correct or fill in the gaps for my 32 strand megatree with xlights?

Two options. Stretch it to cover the full tree or submodel/shadow model the tree and just import it onto the front.

how do you do that with a sequence bought from someone else?

Not sure how you would import it to overlay, but open tree up in xl,sequence and expand it to strand level, you will than have to expand the strand to node level and then copy and paste the effects
it doesn’t appear that you can copy a strand row and then paste it onto another strand.
If you import the sequence maybe you can tell it to,add the effects to a different set of strings on the tree?
Cheers and good luck Boof63

It's all in the mapping.

If you create a submodel on the tree then you can map to it.

Alternatively when you import onto the whole tree and then copy and paste onto the submodel. I think you have to do this for superstar right now.
