Title: Xscheduler
Post by: scottyv on December 21, 2017, 03:34:31 PM
Hello all I have been running my show for a couple of weeks and I have a couple of minor errors I'd like to clean up. First is the time error. THe scheduler will go off at the right time the first hour but the second and third hour it will be almost ten minutes ahead, but the last hour it will be on time. The second problem is the mega tree is not displaying the effects midly incorrectly. I assume from reading other post that this could be a Xscheduler induced problem. I have run the tool "check schedule" and it comes back with errors that say I have 2 twice as many channels that it should have something along the lines of "fseq has 22342 channels when 11342 where expected". I rerendered and saved all sequences in the scheduler. and that did not solve the problem then I deleted the fseq and backup files for the sequence and that came back after running the tool gain that I had only 2 extra channels on the sequences. Where is it coming up with these extra channels? included files are the check schedule tool log and the only file in the Xscheduledata folder. Any help clearing these up would be appericated. THANk you for your time.

What version?  Xschedule has had a number of fixes recently for little problems. Ensure you are on 44 and run check schedule again.

I'm experiencing the same issue and running 44. Rendered and saved all sequences, and check scheduler still shows extra channels. I see a lag once in a while, but I'm the only one that notices it. Other than that, the scheduler has been a rock. Thanks for building it for us Keith..

If you are on 44. The most common reason for mismatched channels is:
Different show directories
A bug in XLights that does not resize fseq. To fix delete fseq and recreate
Pointing to wrong fseq.

Do we still have scenarios that don't resize the fseq?  Thought they were all fixed now.

I have seen one where render on Save doesn’t fix it. I have a speculative change in .44 that does a check to try to fix it but I could never reproduce the problem but I have seen others experience it.

Well it's the action that changes the number of channels or sequence duration that needs to delete the FSEQ file.  I'm guessing you're saying we do that but the next render still creates the old size.

Thanks to all that replied. Keith that worked. I updated to 44 deleted fseqs and remade them and that got rid of the errors in "check schedule". But I still have a problem with my  mega tree smearing the pics that last year displayed very nicely.

Do the smear when played from XLights.

Thanks keith for all your help. I found the error I had a discrepancy between my controller layout, setup and at the actual controller. Thank you once again and Merry Christmas!
