Title: Video Clipping
Post by: BRoberson on January 28, 2018, 06:36:40 PM
Is there a good free video clipping program out there? I need to shave the first 2 or three seconds off of the beginning of a video to get it to sync to my sequence.

Cheers

After further review can a negative time be used in the video effect? Im at the beginning of the song and I still need it to start a little earlier or as my previous post asked, Clip off the beginning some how. Thanks

Any Video editing program will do that for you, they term it "Trim". Windows used to include it's moviemaker program, but there are a few "freebies" out there that will do the same.  I personally use Cyberlink Powerdirector to do this, but it isn't free!!

Can’t you set the start time of the video in xlights?  No need to change the file then.

the video actually need to start a second or so before the sequence lol.  A minus sign doesn't work in the start time. I just trimmed it about 1.5 to 2 seconds in the beginning. Works great now.

Ahh got ya. Could you also add the time to the music file before it plays?

You could use something like audacity and put some space at the start of the music.
