Title: Synchronize the individual nodes
Post by: unclebuck2 on February 01, 2018, 01:04:34 AM
Newbie here, I need to figure out how to synchronize the individual nodes. What I’m trying to do is on a single strand of fifty nodes I want to be able to have three colors on at once. In other words, the first node white the second node green the third node red and so on for the string of fifty. In some of my sequences that I imported from LOR both the white and red are on at the same time. I've watched several video's but can't seem to find one that address this issue. Any ideas?

Try using a single strand chance on the model, but without any movement.  There are other effects too, like marquee I think, that will do the same thing if you don't have them moving.

Keep in mind I really don't know what I'm doing but I tried both single strand and marquee. Played around with the effect settings and couldn't get the results I was looking for. Any other thoughts?

Thanks

Yeah you really need to play with the effects more and learn what all the parameters do.  Its amazing what you can learn if you just experiment instead of expecting to find tutorial videos for every little thing.  It's simple with Marquee just select the 3 colors, band size=1, skip size =0, speed=0...leave everything else default.

Thanks Gilrock, that did exactly what I was looking for. I will continue to play with the effects, watch tutorial videos and post questions on things I can't figure out. Hopefully by Christmas I'll have everything in order.

Thanks to All.
