Title: Value Curve Changes
Post by: rando1957 on February 19, 2018, 03:11:46 PM
Noticed this when using 2018.4 and 2018.5; not in 2018.3 nor what I used in 2017

In the 'ON' effect, had simple fade down (100 to 50); the value curve shows saw tooth, but I did not want it or use it. In v.3, the effect works as I wanted it - just fade down. In v.4 and v.5, the saw tooth value curve started taking effect and my fade down was going multiple times.
Was this a fix in v.4?  If so, then I will go through my sequence and remove that value curve. Just wanted to know if this was a fix or a bug introduced in v.4.

I don't see Value Curves on the On effect except in the Transparency field so can you clarify what curve you are talking about?

Yes Gil, it is on the Transparency row and Transparency is set to 0; For some reason it is showing Saw Tooth value curve and when I select the effect in the sequence grid, the effect starts ramping up and down repeatedly.  I didn't change this from earlier versions.

I don't know of any specific change that "fixed" this but it sounds like you had a value curve defined all along that wasn't working and now it's working so I can't call that a bug.
