Title: poly line question
Post by: charlie-68 on March 05, 2018, 09:05:18 AM
I'm thinking of outlining my house this year. I think I will use rgb strips. The two vertical sides will be 33 nodes with 3 led per node. (typical strip, with some cut off) Across the gutter line will be 100 nodes (same strip). This possibly has been covered but I did not find it ,but can I sequence the vertical section separate from the horizontal section? I would like to drop an effect on just my vertical section only and I do not see in the layout how to separate the vertical parts of the poly line to put it into a vertical group. I did go into the segments  and label the parts but did not see how to separate the sections. Hope you can direct my to a video that explains it or tell my how to do it.  Thanks  Charlie J.

I just found that I could create 3 single strands and then in layout chain them all together in one string then  group and they will work as I want.  Thanks  Charlie J.

I don't keep track of the videos out there but it would be easy to do by creating sub-models for the different segments you want to group.  That way you could keep everything within a single model.
