Title: How does Palette Repeat work?

Palette rep set to 5 (is that the max setting?
Effect = bars
Example 1
#strings 1
nodes/string 100
Lights/node 1
2 colors set Red and green
What I get is 11 pix Red and 11 pix Green repeat.

Is there a way to have every other pix one red one green and so on?

Example 2
Effect = bars
#strings 1
nodes/string 23
Lights/node 1
2 colors set Red and green
What I get is 3 pix Red and 3 pix Green repeat.

Is there a way to have every other pix one red one green and so on?

Why not use the Marquee effect?
