Title: Missing Phonemes
Post by: TomL8345 on March 20, 2018, 02:17:39 PM
I have been working on the Singing Faces I am adding to my show this year.  I am getting the hang of putting in the vocal track phrases, breaking them down into words, and the words in phonemes, but occasionally I do not get the phonemes for a particular word.  How do I manually input the phonemes for a given word in the Timing Track?

So you have some words that are not in the dictionary.  Some people just pick a word that sounds like that word and let it generate phonemes for the alternate word.  You can copy/paste another phoneme into that location.  You can double-click or shift double-click a phoneme and type in a different phoneme.

Or you can add to the dictionary. Tom Langley did a video on how to do that.

Keith,

Do you have any idea where I can find that video?  I tried the search terms of Tom Langley and dictionary in the xLights video search as well as Youtube and did not find anything.

Thanks.

Have watched that video and tried to do as it says.  Think it is easier to replace the with with a sound alike word than to add to the dictionary.  Try it and see what you think....
