First, thanks to everyone, especially the “how-to” videos, those are a huge help.
Last year was my first year using Xlights for our display and it’s about time I get started sequencing this years layout. I typically change some things around, add a few new props and switch out others to give the display a slightly different look.
A basic, newbie question: When I create a new preview for 2018 layout, how do I get some of the models used in 2017 layout to appear in the new preview? Should I delete the models I’m not using, save that layout, and add new models? Or is there a way to pull the 2017 models into the 2018 layout?
Is there a video that I've overlooked that shows the best way to modify an old layout for a new one?
Tks!

I recommend you do not use the New Preview feature to represent the same layout from different years. The best way is you just copy your show folder like I used c:\xLights\2017\Christmas and now I'll use c:\xLights\2018\Christmas. Just make sure the date "2018" is not the last part of the file path.

Thanks Gil. I have created a new show directory for 2018. So the best way to modify the layout is to delete and add models?
Tks!

Delete, Add, Modify existing are pretty much the only options.
