Hi
Im having a bit of trouble, when I go to the sequencer and open a sequence that I have been working on, I cannot play it (the play, stop, fast forward buttons are all greyed out). I never had this issue with an older version of xlights. Any advice on what I am doing wrong?

You are 9 versions behind. Get they latest then come back for help if you have the same issue

I didn't see anything in the release notes about sequences having greyed out play controls. @jeremy0203 - you must work in tech support ;-)
This is probably user error. Would be related to not having your music files in the right directory maybe?

Probably just needs to click inside the grid to set focus.

That sounds odd. There are times when it does grey then out such as when saving or maybe rendering but that should be obvious.

Maybe record a video of it happening as that can often reveal an action that is slightly different to how we normally do thing that may be causing the issue.

I had another issue like that just today that was hanging xLights but only because the user paused playback (something I never do).
