Title: House model
Post by: Boof63 on July 30, 2018, 05:27:50 AM
Hi all, i have split my house model (2 new ones ) a top half and bottom half.
I am trying to get a vu meter effect from the  middle to top and middle to the bottom. (pulse from middle to either top or bottom)
I cant seem to get it right using VU, bars, mask/unmask etc. main problem is not all of the model reacts as one model- middle to top or vice versa. Any one have ideas on how i could get this working properly.
 Cheers and thanks-Boof63

You split it into 2 models and can't figure out why its not acting like 1 model....I'm so confused.

HI gil. yes i split it, i would like an effect (VU meter) to go from split i.e. middle of house to top of house and all selected models to react as if one large model (have tried all the settings and all the top half models are in one group). And to also be able to treat the same with the bottom half of the house.
so that the house halves reflect the movement of the fantasia flamingos from Disney Fantasia.
Hope this clears it up a little
 .cheers Boof63 ??? ???

Probably has more to do with the VU meter effect settings when on a group which usually consists of lots of rows and columns.

If I wanted to divide a house I would just use 1 house model group and then limit the effect range using the buffer window.

If you want to do this with your two halves don’t use waveform but the one that shows half a waveform and invert it on the bottom half or do as Gil says and use the whole house model.
