Title: FFP on Raspberry PI 3B+
Post by: NTJP on September 08, 2018, 03:06:30 PM
New at this and bought a Raspberry Pi 3B+  Cannot install FFP on it.  Use the SD Card Formatter and have tried 1.5, 1.8 and even read to use FPP-v2.0-Alpha-Pi-20180315.  The Alpha 2.0 downloads and get a disk image.  But that does not unzip to anything.  So at a loss.  Anyone know how to install FFP on the 3B+

Pi3B+ requires v2.o of FPP
Go here for the install

but read here for new install instructions and background
http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/topic,8795.0.html (http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/topic,8795.0.html)

And post in the Falcon forum not the xlights forum you will get more help there.

Thank you for your answer.  Have been on the Falcon form reading and doing everything suggested for the last two days. Did not see the answer on XLights.  So, two things...  1) figured I'd get an answer and 2) surely someone else will be looking for it here in the future and could get them their answer.  Your answer helped greatly.  Had already been where you suggested and went again.  Found this https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp/releases/tag/2.0
Which gives the answer for anyone else with this problem.  New installation method - just "burn" the image onto an SD card using something like Etcher or Win32DiskImager,  Downloaded WIn32DiskImager and burnt the image from the FPP-v2.0-Pi file and now have the Raspberry Pi loading.  Burning the FPP-v2.0-Pi disk image file to the SD card is what needs to be done.
