hi everyone,
Again this year we're having issues with our matrix

the strip lights are from ray wu  are ws2811
matrix size is 15 vertical colums and 10 rows across
450 individual pixels
all strips are wired correctly, the test pattern within Advatec works fine.
we have tried everything that we can think of and we still can get the matrix to output right
We have the same lights for our 3 meter tree, 5 mini trees and roof and they all work fine
As you can see in the attached video the lights are nuts! to say the least, Its supposed to be saying "Merry Christmas"!!
Can anyone help?

You need to post some pics of your configuration

Ensure your matrix model has

Strings= number of data connections from controller to matrix
Strands/string= number of zig zags in each string
Nodes/string = number of nodes connected to a data wire from the controller
Orientation and start location also need to be correct

Then ensure you turn off all zig zags and reversing etc on the controller.

Sure there are. Most of the beginner videos go over it as does the controller upload video.

Kent - check out the Zoom meetings on xlights.org (esp during the evenings) and people can help you traige your issue in real time. Might be a simple config change.

Here are some screen shots of my settings, Advatek, xlights and network
and one of the matrix doing the wrong thing, supposed to say test..

Your math doesn't add up. strips are normally 3 led per pixel   
that being said your matrix is 15 tall by 10 wide  that's only 150 pixels with 450 leds
that's 450 channels    I have never worked with that controller but are you setting up zig zag twice?
once in xlights and again in the controllers.

sorry I mean to say 150 pixels 450 channels. As stated previously everything works fine the mega tree which is a matrix, the arches and these are all brand new light strips purchased last xmas from ray Wu all made to correct length.

We have been doing this for quite a few years now and have never had a problem like this. even with LSP the matrix always worked fine. The controllers are both new as well.

we have eliminated any earth problems, wiring problems, connections

we have checked out the zig zag and not using it in Advatek but cannot find anything in xlights
