Title: Version 50 not assigning start channels correctly?
Post by: lcwillisjr on December 01, 2018, 06:29:53 AM
Just downloaded version 50 and I see something unexpected.  On my layout screen I often use the feature to set a start channel for 1 prop using >Prior Prop:1 for example. But now Xlights is assigning the last channel of the prior prop as the start channel for the next prop instead of Prior prop last channel +1.

Example prior to Version 50
Name      nodes      start                 end
Prop1        100        201                  300
Prop2        100    >Prop1:1(301)      600

With Version 50 - Prop 2 Start channel is not displayed correctly (Should be 301) but the end channel is still correct
Name      nodes      start                 end
Prop1        100        201                  300
Prop2        100    >Prop1:1(300)      600

I already did.

I am going to try a sequence as I think it may be calculating things correctly as the end channels are correct. I wonder Xlights is just displaying the wrong start channel in the layout screen.

I am a c++ noob, but the code does show this change being added - it "looks" like it is just in the display. I am sure Keith will answer..

This is just a display issue. It should not impact sequencing or rendering. Will be fixed in .51.
