With the use of more submodels, being able to map to them is strongly desired in the import window.
-
I thought you could.

When in the import window just click on the ">" next to the model name and the sub models will show anything with a >next to it has something under it

I'm running 2018.52 and the map window does not have any >. If you look at the attached screenshot you will see my subgroups listed in the layout but not the mapping window.

I'm with babybear on this one. Works on mine. I'm running windows 10 x64 and xlights v47

Im running windows 2018.53 64bit this is how mine all show.

I’m running Linux 64 bit, so this appears to be a bug not new feature.

Yeah, I think it's an issue with the Linux builds, but I don't know anything development-wise to add to the discussion. I did make a post about it which didn't really get any feedback.

Problem is for us developers not running Linux there's not much we can do to guess at the problem and have no way to test anything.
-
hmmm. Does xlights run on the Pi? Could that mean scheduler can run on the Pi? Interesting...

Pi probably doesn't have enough memory to run the GUI.
-
It does work. I had all of xLights running on the Pi early last year. You could even almost sequence on it. But with only 1GB memory, you aren't talking huge sequences. Way more restricted than even the 32bit windows version. I haven't built it since 2018.9. You can grab it from:
https://dankulp.com/xlights/xLights-2018.9-arm.tar.gz
It took HOURS and HOURS to build on the Pi, so not something I planned on doing too often.

Do you have your submodels added to your master view?

Yep, that's totally fair and understandable. I wish I could articulate or investigate things on my end, but I wouldn't know the first step! Appreciate all the work the developers do.

Yes, submodels in master view.
