Title: Grouping Singing Light Bulbs
Post by: rjhodgefamily on December 10, 2018, 03:20:26 PM
We have 11 singing lightbulbs from Boscoyo scattered around a various houses in the cul-de-sac. This year we have them all using the same channel which works great but only for a single lyric track. Next year we want to separate each bulb into its own universe so we can more appropriately do harmonies and duets. So we tried playing with it this year but can not seem to get groups to work right.

Each light bulb is comprised of the face and 2 sub models (screw base and bull outline). When setting up groups we can set up a group of bases and outlines and those work great. But if we try to set up a group for the faces to sing they don't work at all.

So not sure if there is a way to set up groups so that on some songs half are sining one part and half are singing another. And then on some songs they are all singing the same thing. Or if we need to rethink this crazy delusion.

Thanks,
Richard

Try using one of the per model render styles.

So the "Per Model Default" did the trick for the faces.

Now is there a way to use just the one group to add the sub model effects also or do I need to create sub model groups for those effects. I know creating separate groups works, just trying to see if I can simplify my work load.

Thanks,
Richard
