Title: xlights doesn’t see my lights!
Post by: speedysteve714 on December 21, 2018, 02:09:14 PM
xlights doesn’t see my lights!
I made about 4 different Sequences and went to use xSchedule. Then my lights stopped working. After it stopped I checked everything. I did find a blown fuse on the AlphaPix. I replaced it. My computer (Win 10) sees the 4 Port Ethernet to SPI Controller. The light test works from the controller. I reinstalled the xLights. Still nothing! Where should I look? I’m using xLights with HolidayCoro/AlphaPix and 2811 pixels.

Did you turn the light bulb on?  (in xScheduler)

Yes I had the light bulb on. Everything was working before xScheduler. I was setting up my 4 sequences to do a show. Not sure what happened but xLights stopped seeing my lights. I reinstalled xLights and nothing! I’m new to this. What could I do now?

check power supply to alphapix, is it actually on, is ethernet cable plugged into computer and alpha.
Do you have multimeter, check for power & data on each output.
what version of xlights are you running, if you can ping the controller then network should be good.
Have you re-rendered all the sequences on the new install. ????
Try using xlights (turn on lightbulb) and see if its xlights, if XL works then try xschedule.

My alphapix is working. I tested the lights from it. My computer does see the alphapix. I have the lightbulb on. I’ll try re-rendered my sequences. Thanks!

I did get my lights to work. But I used my Sons old computer! I think I have a setting wrong on my computer blocking xLights. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We are having a similar problem. We can play a sequence thru the sequencer and the lights come on just fine. When we go to XSchedule, with the light in the upper left turned on, we only get audio.

This is a known issue with 2019 .1-2.
