I have 5 columns on my porch and would like to wrap a string around each. What would be the best way to do this?
Thanks

You can create spiral wraps using the Tree model.

Either use a matrix and understand that the real thing would be wrapped and not flat, OR use a tree model and adjust the top and bottom so that they are close to being the same diameter.

I read your question differently than Gil. My answer is assuming that you were wrapping the string all the way around the column in a level fashion and then moving up to the next level and doing the same, all the way up.

Something like this

Yeah I read it wrong also I thought you wanted to know how to model. The way I would wrap it is clockwise. Reach around the back with your left hand and grab it with your right hand and spiral it up as you go.

Can't tell if you are joking or not

And I can't tell if anything we've said helped you or not.

It looks like if I add a tree a with one string and how many times I need it wrapped using the spiral wrapping it gives me the model I want.
