Hi
This will be my first year doing a pixel light show, which will just be basic outlining. However, I have just done a facelift on the front of my house with new siding/soffit/flashing, and I do not want to drill any holes into it. So I am looking for suggestions/ideas for attaching the lights which will be in strips at 2" increments around the windows, on both sides of the flashing (that runs up each side of house and across bottom), and across the top under the soffit. I have attached a pic of the house to help. I have other pics but seem to be limited on how much I can up load here.
Thanks
Shawn

I just purchased a roll of this double sided mounting tape

It is very sticky, but removable and it is clear. The specs say it can support 5lbs per sq in. I and my local friends that have touched it since I received it find it pretty amazing and definitely worth a try. Might be worth a look see for you. Even stick to brick - check out the very bottom of the above web page. $10.58 (right now) for 2" x 450" roll (cheaper than the 1"x450") with free shipping, and at least where I live, 1 day free delivery with Amazon Prime.

Thanks for the reply Jim, I will keep this in mind.

I am not sure what you mean by strips, but if it is truly strips, as in a silicone tube around some lights and it comes on a roll, you need to be careful to an extent. They are harder to modify the length (and you will have to!) and they can be more prone to failure and are more difficult to repair. I use mostly bullet pixels mounted in 1/2" PVC pipe and hang them with Command Clips. I have my house eves outlined, Vertical corners outlined and the windows and doors outlined. I use those for the exact same reason, I just bought a brand new house and I didn't want to drill holes until I was sure where everything was going to go. It worked so well that I am going to continue using them, easy on, easy off. I even hung my controller boxes on the Command Hooks!

No to clarify, when I say strips I meant flat nodes in the strips from Boscoyo that have the holes punched out already, then attaching them to the house....some how without any permanent holes etc.

You could use the Command Hooks.

To help you out on your pix. There is a software out there called pixel resizer down size your pix and you can get more on there.

Hi Jim!!!
Yes, 3M range of hooks etc. I had thought about them but wondered if they would be strong enough to hold the strings of lights.
Thanks again to everyone posting their ideas.
