Peg and I have recreated our spiral tree. This is an actual spiral tree, with 12 strings wired from bottom to top, 100 pixels per string. There are 2.75 turns to each spiral. (360 degree tree.) The tree is being driven by an F16V2 Blue. Each string has its own output on the controller. All controller settings are as they should be.
When I feed it the command for bars, it works great. Clean appearing bars. When I tell it to go up, they go up. Same with down.
We are applying a single strand effect to it, with 2 chases and 2 colors chosen. On the model preview, and the house preview, the spirals appear to be going from top to bottom, with color one on top, and color two underneath. Nice effect.
On the actual tree, the spirals appear to be going from bottom to top and the colors are reversed. As I sit here at my computer, with the actual tree just beyond my monitor - it is surreal. The tree is doing just the opposite from what the preview is doing.
I've tried everything I know, and some things I didn't know until now. Nothing straightens it out.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Edit: I just went through every setting, including changing the render styles. Nothing. :(

Its not simply the starting location property?

Nope. Settings are very clear in the preview setup. Starts lower left. All other functions (that we have checked) work properly. Just the single strand effect applied to prop goes backwards.
Note that we can adapt to the fact and just make sure when we want it to go up, we set it to go down... but what about other "directions". We will try them all tonight.

Model properties. Controller string settings. Have you tried a different version.

Didn't get your suggestion till after midnight Keith. Will try tomorrow (or later today, as it is.)
