Have been using xlights for 4 yrs. Have had this problem for the last ~ 2yrs. Using xlights v 2019.64.
I was cleaning up some errrors in sequences, paticularly fade in and out times exceeding duration of effect. When I backspace in fade in or fade out to enter a new value, it will not allow me to type in a new value.
I have found a workaround, create a word doc, type the value, copy, and paste into the fade in/fade out panel. This is not super critical, but a bit of an annoyance.

I've been using fade in and fade out for 2 years and never had experienced this. Was there a different way to do it 3nd 4 years ago? I just tried it again right now. Are you in the Layer Blending window? If you can't backspace and type a number, can you double-click to highlight the number, then replace?
-
Layer blending tab, I can backspace the value, but will not take any number inputs, they do not appear. Only pasting a value copied from a text file works as I explained.
Double clicking, does work.
Question for developers: why is this the only window (that I have found so far) in xlights that requires double clicking to modify?
-
Meh...who knows...The code is freely available if you really want to investigate.
-
That's really strange because I can change those values both ways. And from my recollection there are lots of values in xLights that can be changed by double clicking, I would guess almost all of them.
-
Most of those fields operate on wxWidgets code as far as I remember. We don't write special xLights code to handle that input.

Ok, thanks for all the help all. At least a double click is better than cut and paste.
I would like to thank the developers for adding the bulk edit file and bulk edit path feature on the picture files, a real timesaver.
