Title: LOR AC Controllers
Post by: JeffC on January 19, 2020, 04:35:48 PM
I’m trying to set up my LOR AC controllers . In the layout I have setup 32 individual channels, I communicate via comm port 4 running windows 10. I can get either controller to work seperately for its 16 channels. But I can’t get both controllers to work at the same time, when I do this only the first 16 channels will work depending on which controller I add first. I get a comm port error (photo attached) when I try to add the second controller. Hoping I can sort this issue out before I get into E1.31 (waiting on a Falcon to show up)

Thanks

Jeff

You can only have one output line in Setup per COM port.

So the choices are:
1) create one USB output that contains all the channels you need for all the LOR controllers
2) use the Add LOR option and create the list of LOR controllers in that dialog
3) run the controllers in DMX mode and use an E1.31 bridge or controller with a DMX output

Option 3 is the best, 2 is second, and 1 is least preferred mainly because option 1 only supports about 96 channels.

I’m trying to use option 2 but it doesn’t recognize the second controller.

Not sure what you mean by creating a list of controllers in that dialog. I’ve selected add lor for each controller with comm 4 (so 2 lines)but it doesn’t look as if that’s the way to add these LOR AC controllers.

Ok I figured it out, dumb mistake. I added each controller separately rather that staying in the dialog to add each at that time. All the on line videos and support is great, so thanks.
It will take me a while, but I’ve started early. :-)
