Well....upgraded to 2020.06 and as I feared I have an absolute mess that I hope someone can help me decipher/fix.
About half my setup seems okay and normal other than maybe a name change or 2 but then starting with controller #9, despite having contiguous universes and channel numbers, everything is labeled "Unmanaged" for the rest of the setup. It basically grabbed my old description from 2020.4 the name of my props and listed them as 'Unmanaged". In one case it also meshed multiple props into 1 big "Unmanaged" grouping.
For example on controller #9 I have 12 props that use 31 universes. The new setup lumped all that into 11 'names' that are labeled "Unmanaged" (as I said the universes and channel #'s ARE contiguous).... I was expecting, since everything on that controller is contiguous, setup to lump everything from that IP under 1 controller name. Instead...multiple entries show up as "Unmanaged"....
I suspect this kind of look will trip up several of us non-tech types despite a fix/adjustment being intuitively obvious to the more experienced.
From my limited understanding....It looks like I need to delete all my setup starting with Controller #9 and manually re-enter each controller using a contiguous list of universe numbers...in order to get all 31 universes under the 1 controller to make this look right...
Is that the best way to 'clean' this up? Or is there another way that I'm just too limited in understanding to see?

Go to xlights.org, click on Zoom Meeting. Share your screen and someone will be able to help you get back on track with your setup. It's quiet in xLight's Zoom right now but there should be some people in the room at 3:00pm PST.

Actually I had watched them and I thought I had things set up in a continuous fashion. But he hints at changing the way to do start channels, for example, and it went right over my head. So I don't know if that's my problem or if it's something else that's governed by some new protocol for how to do this that I don't know about.
I find this new format MUCH MUCH more confusing than having the universe setups. I liked the specific control you had that way. So we've made it "easier" on new comers and for me it's turning into a nightmare..... I had a setup that worked perfectly now Pffffffft....it's broken.
This is the necessary 'evil' part of the hobby that I don't enjoy at all....
I'm trying to keep the faith that, somewhere in the future, this pain will allow better sequencing.....but right now I'm not seeing it.

Thanks Bright.... I might have found a glimmer of hope...
I've been toying with it and went ahead and manually changed number of universes in the first "Unmanaged" to match the total number of universes on the actual controller.... Then I deleted the other original entries that were in the setup tab....as soon as I finished deleting (the now duplicate universes) the new line with all the universes flipped and the "Unmanaged" label went away by itself....
I might have lucked out......we'll see when I test to see if the right lights come on when they should.....
I get pretty frustrated when I break things and don't understand how to fix them..... When you're limited in your technical knowledge stuff like this is similar to trying to find a pin in a completely dark room.... Thank goodness for folks on this board who act as a flashlight to those of us without 'batteries'...Haha
All that said I'm thankful to the developers for doing what's best for the hobby....and keeping us out of trouble.... My frustration isn't with them it's with my limited ability to troubleshoot.....major changes like this one really throw me for a loop sometimes. Once I understand, by seeing it myself, I typically kick myself for worrying over something so 'simple'.... ::)
