Title: Trouble with open ports when loading to Falcon...
Post by: robbiet on March 20, 2020, 03:10:40 PM
First off, I just want to say I love the new controller oriented changes in xlights. This is the first year I will be able to simply upload to my controllers and have it all just work without having to do separate configuration of the controllers.

I?m seeing one issue when uploading. On my F16, I am using one expansion for 32 ports but I am not using a couple of the ports (12 and 28 in my case). When I upload from xlights to the Falcon, the empty ports are not getting skipped. In my case, port 13 info is going in 12 and then this issue cascades down the remaining ports. Do I need to set something in xlights to indicate that a port is unused?  Everything looks correct in the visualizer.

For now, I just created some dummy models to put in those ports and then everything loads fine.

Thanks,

Rob

If you feel it's a repeatable issue then you should report it here:

I would need to see your files to see why it is happening.

Here is my show folder. I?ve removed all sequences so this is just the setup files.

I found my issue...user error.  I didn?t realize my firmware was out of date. Updating the firmware fixed it.
