Hi, I am trying to understand what I need to do once I connect my LOR boxes to my falcon f16v3, I have my falcon Dmx connecter/jumper set to LOR and the ethernet cable is connected between my f16v3 and my first lor controller. I have a solid green light on lor controller so now how do i set it up in lights? I understand it will be 1 universe and the size is 1- with 510 channels but i have no idea what the rest of the setting needs to be in this newest ver of xlights.
Thanks
Ralph

You don?t do anything on the controller tab for your lor. Just define the props and then if you want use the visualise to allocate them to the dmx port on the falcon controller.

Thank you so much, Keith,
I would like to ask and I know your really busy but could you walk me through allocating just one of my LOR props this was I understand all the steps and the proper stuff to input
and I know I'm doing it right, would you mind?
Thanks
Ralph.

Sure. When.

Just goto the model properties and set Start Channel using the ... button and select Controller and pick the Falcon name. Then under the Controller Connection section set Port = 1 and Protocol = dmx. Then if you go back to the controllers tab and visualize that Falcon scroll down you should see that model attached to Serial Port 1 on the first green box.

Hey guys, Keith and Gill I can't thank you enough for your help, I am trying really hard but I'm just not seeing what you're telling me. so I thought If I added photos so you can see what I've done and what I am seeing, it would help. and when looking at my controller's tab, please keep in mind I am just getting the hang of things this will be my first season putting Xlights to its tests for me. so not everything on my controller's tab is right yet, just so you know. I want to get my loR stuff set and done, then I will go step by step.
Keith, I am around all the time I had to shut down my wedding DJ company for the next 8 weeks and just this morning finished meeting with my 50 wedding couple booked with me with a date between now and may 1st, so now we have to help them reschedule there wedding date to a date after June 1st, man I hope this gets better quickly, anyway I am here and willing anytime to chat we can even do a zoom if you like.
Thanks, guys

I have no idea where in the world you are ,,, but I am available after 5pm Sydney time.
You need to get rid of your LOR Lines on the controller tab ... there is no need for them. You should just increase the number of universes on the other line for that controller.
-
Yeah I was trying to steer you away from the Controllers tab and telling you how to set it up manually. Too many users are getting all confused trying to use the drag and drop visualizer. Just do like Keith says delete the lines you don't need. Then read what I said and just do it. Just try it. You do everything I said on the Layout tab.

Hey guys and Keith thanks so much the other night for help and sorry at 230am it was hard to think. but I have driven my self nuts here, dragging in the viz would be easy IF all my LOR channels were back to back IF I understand this right, mine are not and I think this is the problem I am running into. Am I right?
Gil, so I will try what you're saying.

Gil one last this your saying port one on the falcon, looking at the 3 ports on the falcon on the far right the top port is the dmx port and its not settable, port 2 and 3 are changeable between lor and dmx so I picked the bottom port which is port 3 and set the jumpers to LOR, am I doing this the right way or do you just want me to pot it in the top port the dmx port and do it that way. sorry for all the questions I really just want to learn all this so I can understand the logic to it.
-
Well sure if you use port 3 then change what I said to 3. I use a LOR-to-DMX crossover cable I made so I'm not restricted to certain ports.

I really thank you gil, I really am trying here, let me try,
