I have a faces effect Whoville face, on my one smaller mega tree but the face was used on my other Mega Tree. It didnt spot this as a missing face definition - perhaps because it WAS defined on the other tree?
Of course the tree just shows red. Seems like it saw the face was defined against something (another tree) and didnt find the fault?
Perhaps can someone confirm that?

Do you have a sequence you can share to show the problem.

So to show this .. I went back to my 2019 version (since I fixed it in 2020)...
I took this sequence, added a couple layers to AA Mega Tree, then right click copy model from AA Mega Super Tree and pasted it.
So it pasted the effects including the faces at around 1:30.
Check sequence didnt catch this missing face definition on this prop.
(ignore the bad images .. those are easily fixed up)
I believe this was the scenario I was trying to show you...
(as I go thru all my 2019 sequences looking for f'ups)

I dont see that problem in that sequence but i think what you are saying is you copy a face effect pointing at a face from one model onto another model which does not have that face ... and check sequence does not flag it.

Ok ... I have something for .34 but there is some weirdness in face effects that may cause some false positives. There is definitely a bug the face definition dialog that creates spurious faces.

k. Thanks, I will take a look .. just trying to avoid the wall of red on the prop when images are missing :-)
