Title: J1SysP12 controller upload error.
Post by: rjm12rjm12 on September 27, 2020, 03:15:16 PM
Hi All,

I'm trying to do an upload to my controller, but I get an error "Controller 192.168.1.182 too many output required for port 3"  I think I only have 49 pixels mapped to port 3.  Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,

Rob

Well I solved my problem by using the #31:1 style format to give each port its own universe.  I know this is not the preferred option, but I wanted to not have to power inject on these props and I could not see another way to get it to work.  Once I did this manually things started to work correctly.  I hope the gaps don't cause any show problems.

As long as you don?t have gaps within ports you should be fine.

Hi Keith,

Since it looks like the J1Sys-P12S boards do not have "Auto Layout Models and Auto Size", should I start the controller at some large universe, say 100 or 200?  That way if my F4v3s change they can grow if I add more props to them.

For some reason the upload for the J1Sys-P12S is not working for me, even after I manually set it up.

Is it OK to have universe gaps between controllers?

Thanks,

Rob

Yes you can have universe gaps.
