Hi Gentlemen, I am seeing, when I run check sequence in xLights sequencer, a number of error warnings reported that my graphic files are over size as below, multiple lines of this :-
" WARN: Picture effect image file 'E:\xLights\2020 Show\Gifs\Heart_TBG.gif' is 14.2 times the height or width of the model ... xLights is going to need to do lots of work to resize the image. Model 'Matrix', Start 0:01.500"
Is this an issue, as there were no warnings when the sequence was created, and I understood that re-sizing images was something that xLights was "happy" to do on the fly!!
Comments ??

It?s a warning because it takes effort for xlights to do it that which can be easily avoided by presizing the image closer to the required size. Xlights will handle it but it will take longer than it needs to.

Thanks Keith, will it have much effect on the playout performance in xSchedule, ie generate delays, timing or syc issues etc on a 2.8 Gig quadcore hyper-threading machine ??
-
None at all as it impacts xlights render time.

Hi Keith, Brilliant, I can tolerate the render time, no problem, it was the playout issues I had last year I was concerned about, I do not want to go there again :-( Cheers, Terry

There is one enhancement coming in .47 to let you turn off some ui eye candy to further optimise xschedule.

Sounds Good, thanks for your great work :-)
