I have a prop with 290 pixels. My plan is to run off of 2 ports, with appropriate power injection.
1 port will have 100 pixels. 1 port will have 190 pixels on it.
The prop is a Holiday coro 36 inch 6 row star.
If I follow their wiring, but run the first strand past where they suggest, since the recommend 3 ports, and then start the next strand and the third, will I be able to setup the prop in Xlights like I am used to as a 6 row star, and then connect the strands to the ports in the visualizer, will it work properly.
I should know this, but I want to make sure before I push all those pixels:)
Thanks,
Mike.

I really don't know I've not used the visualizer. Why not just try to set it up and find out?

As long as it is a custom model set the number of strings and define which node is the first on each string. Then you can adding the prop in the visualiser.

Thank you Keith,
That is what I seemed to remember, but I wanted to check.
Like I said, it is a 36 inch corostar with 290pixels and instead of 3 ports, I only have 2 to run it off of.
Have a Merry Christmas!

I personally have two of those in my show and each one runs off of a single port. I run at 30% to stay under 5 amps and I parallel the power into 4 spots at the entry point of the star. I call it localized power injection.

Thank you for the input.
Again, I wanted to check before I started pushing pixels:)
