Title: windows 10 2021.28 crash after splash screen
Post by: dfwtx on September 11, 2021, 06:58:58 PM
windows 10 2021.28 crash after splash screen.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall. Any one else see this issue?

This is in the log file:

2021-09-11 20:30:00,700 15796 log_base [DEBUG] CreateSequencer: Creating Panels.
2021-09-11 20:30:00,700 15796 log_base [DEBUG]         Sequencer grid.
2021-09-11 20:30:00,700 15796 log_base [DEBUG]                 Creating main sequencer
2021-09-11 20:30:00,703 15796 log_base [DEBUG]                 Creating Timeline
2021-09-11 20:30:00,703 15796 log_base [INFO] If xLights crashes after this log message then the root cause is almost always a problem between OpenGL and their video drivers.
We recommend they download the latest drivers from their card provider ... not from their operating system provider.

I figured it out.  It seems you must set the nvida card setting to auto or xlights will not start.

If you mean the OpenGL setting in xLights it defaults to Auto unless you changed it.  You only should touch that setting for troubleshooting.
