No audio as this video shows what happens when you change a tree type from 90 degrees to 360.
http://www.stevesimagses.com/NC/TREE-360-funk.mp4 (http://www.stevesimages.com/nc/TREE-360-funk.mp4)
Probably will be fixed in 4.x but for now, this is what happens.
Version: 3.6.14
Screen: 1440x900

Steve, I got the same results you did, but was more interested in the effect you were using. Would you mind sharing your settings?
Thanks,
Fred

I don't have my RGBEFFECTS file with me but that appears to be Pinwheel masking Circles-Plasma or Butterfly with the circles type.
Search for my name here for my posts, I have posted the code here in last month.

Thanks Steve, I didn't get the exact same effect that you did (difference in models most likely), but I got some really cool effects using the suggestions you made!
Thanks,
Fred

steve; i dont think i am following what the issue is.
Are you asking why there is a "First strand to export"?
Dan Kulp added this for any user who is using HLS.
Exporting a 360 degree tree into HLS was rotated. It was easier to make the fix in xLights than in HLS.
It has nothing to do with xlights running a sequence, the preview screen or the generation of effects. It would only be used if you are exporting to a sequencer.

Sean,
The OK and Cancel buttons get covered by the "First strand for Export" text when you select 360 as the tree type.
I had to assume the Ok button was just below that text and then click there.
Watch again at the :20 mark.

it doesnt do that for me
(http://nutcracker123.com/nutcracker/images/steve.png)
screen resolution on desktop is 1920x1080
I also tried
1400x900
1280x1024
1024x768
all worked without covering up the OK button,
version 3.6.15

The "Export" in your sample is clearly covered by the drop selection box for the string # choice.
Not a huge deal, just something I noticed when making that tree type selection.

I was able to duplicate the issue.
I started with a STAR model that I changed to a Megatree 360.
The OK does not get covered up
I then tried a 180 degree megatree and changed to a 360, the OK does get covered up.
Ill send this on to dan kulp (he is the person who added the export first strand prompt.
thanks
