Title: xScheduler and starting with lower priority playlist
Post by: coduke on November 28, 2021, 06:55:53 PM
Hi Everyone,

First year here and I've been able to figure out everything through some trial and error so far except for this...

In xSchedule, I have 2 playlists:

My "Filler" playlist is a simple display for when the "Show" isn't actually running. The "Filler" comes on as expected at 17:00. However, my "Show" playlist does not kick off at 17:30, even though it has a higher priority. The "Filler" just keeps playing on loop. Once I manually kick off the "Show" playlist, the priority works as expected for the rest of the evening.

Does anyone have any ideas why my higher priority playlist won't auto start after the lower priority starts first? Or does someone have a work-around recommendation?

I've attached screenshots of the xScheduler setup.

I don?t think you want to gracefully interrupt.

Thanks for the quick reply Keith. I made that tweak and will report back what happens tomorrow evening. Thanks!

That did the trick Keith. Thank you!

For everyone's SA, I unchecked the "graceful interrupt" option for the "Show" schedule settings.

Just adding one other additional note for community awareness - if I want to the show to kick off at 5:30 pm, running every 15 min, then I actually have the schedule start at 5:15 pm. The show doesn't actually start at 5:15 pm, but starts as planned at 5:30 pm. Strange but it works.
