Title: Mapping Question
Post by: Acpmessenger on December 07, 2021, 04:14:41 PM
I created a sequence using one of the free sequences and created multiple mapping files while I was trying to see which I liked best and now I cannot recall which one I used for the sequence I actually uploaded. I have a tree I want to add now, is there a way to find out which mapping file I ended up using?

In this case, just ignore the mapping .. and load your existing sequence, import effects and just map over any other props (like the tree). It will simply add to you existing mapped sequence.

Thank you for your response. I am new at this so not sure if I am missing something in your explanation.

Normally I click New Sequence, locate the music for the sequence, once it has opened I click on Import Effects, select the free sequence I have saved, then the mapping window opens. I then map as close of models as I can then click save mapping. Then save the sequence in my own show folder.

What I believe you are saying is to just open the sequence I saved in my own show folder, select Import Effects, and map any other props. If so the problem is that the effects shown are the ones already assigned in my show (I attached a screenshot).

Exactly .. the last part of your statement .. just dont (bother) mapping over the existing props - just add more items from the left to the right. It will simply  add to your previously saved effects. Mapping is just a short cut for dragging and dropping the right over to the left.
