Everything was working...and now its not. None of my models are displayed in either the House or Model Preview.
I have no idea how it got this way but I had been toying with adding a matrix and megatree to my models.

Try right click in each of the previews and "reset".
Check layout, click below all the props .. what are brightness and transparency?
-
Sorry, I failed to mention that I had reset the previews. No effect.
The Brightness checkbox was not selected. Changing this to 100 had no effect.
In the Appearance settings both Transparency and Black Transparency are set at 0.

Are the model names showing in the layout screen? Are you just missing the images or both the images and the model definitions on the left side of the layout screen. If both are missing I would supect that somehow you are no longer pointing to your correct show folder.
-
All the model names appear in the Layout and Sequencer pages but no images of the models appear.

We would normally suggest checking for upgraded video card driver.

Gilrock, I have the latest available driver for my system.
I reiterate that xlights was working properly so I don't think it is a system problem. This situation seems to be related to my setting up a matrix, megatree and boscoyo star. I'm leaning towards the matrix. I initially set it up as 128x64, then played with 1920x720, or something similar. I believe that overwhelmed something with this huge matrix. Dunno fer shur. I am just guessing here. Maybe it is coincidental.
I tried replacing the rgbeffects file from a backup but no luck there.
I am reluctant to do a full recovery as I may lose something. The newest backup previous to this problem is a couple of weeks ago. But I do not know how to do a full recovery and would have to look that up.

Problem solved. At least for now.
I replaced all the xml files with the newest known-working backup.
The models are now displaying properly. I have lost the new models that I had created but that is NBD as I working on plans for next Christmas.
I wish I knew what caused this now I know at least how to recover. Thanks to everyone for you support.

Well glad you got it working. Based on past experience when a user says xLights was working properly it doesn't mean anything because we don't know how much time based between working properly and the current problem. Windows could have done an update and then we have users come back and say oh year I forgot I installed this or that. We've had users swear they haven't installed or changed anything only to come back and remember something they did. So based on your description whenever models aren't showing up its usually been a problem with the driver not executing OpenGL properly.
